I'm getting ready to replace the cooler line with the dieselmanor line for my TT sensor. Will there be a lot of ATF loss?

I currently have the cooler line aluminum sensor adapter from Genos on the line and it never reads above 100* (not towing yet).

Thanks a bunch!

I remember seeing someone post that it was only a few ounces that were lost. He drained it into a pan and just put it back in after the line was installed.

You will loose a little, but because both ends of the line are higher than the fluid level, it shouldn't be too bad. What we do is remove the top fitting first at the cooler. Put a clean rag in the hole. Then do the same for the botom of the line at the trans. Then install the now one in reverse fashion. That's it. If you have any questions just give us a shout.

i have that piece from genos too. are you sure that it is hooked up properly. while doing normal stop and go traffic i've seen it go up to about 160-170 towing nothing, and up to about 200 210 the highest while snow plowing. so for me it works great and at least this way if your trans goes that cant say they wont warranty it becasue you put a different line on it... .

I hope so, its just a press-on fit with a band clamp (right?). Maybe the copper anti-seize has fouled it but it says its "sensor safe"...

I just bought the same line you are talking about from DieselManor. I highly recommend it. The manifold is deep enough that the temp sensor does not extend into the line and restrict fluid flow.

I changed mine one morning while everything was cool and I doubt I even lost a half a pint of fluid. It was not enough to show a loss on the dipstick and I did not have to add any.

And now I will post my results with that **&%$ cooler line. I had a hell of a time with the install. I probably lost at least two quarts, maybe more. All over me, and all over the place. I just could not get the threads started on that line. Being slopped in transmission fluid didn't help, that's for sure. As you have read, your chances of a quick and clean install appear to be prettyt good. I may just be an idiot!!!! Once I got it threaded, it was a nice install for sure. Works like a charm..... Good luck.
