Unless you have some made up at a hydraulic hose place, I think the only place to get the genuine ones is from a dealer. Here is a list of parts required and the dealer prices as of several years ago. They may be different now.

Parts List to convert to later style Transmission Cooler Lines.

Quantity Part Number Description Each Price

2 CH52028764AA Trans Fitting 23. 80 47. 60

2 CH00118752 Eng. Cooler Fitting 3. 01 6. 02

1 CH05011244AA Tube, Out, W/temp port 91. 85 91. 85

1 CH04798875AB Hose, Aux Cooler 70. 98 70. 98

1 CH04798876AB Hose, Aux Cooler 77. 66 77. 66

1 CH52028673 Tube, Return to Trans 22. 13 22. 13

1 CH52028674 Tube, Eng. cooler to Aux 28. 39 28. 39

Total 344. 63

When you see these parts it will be obvious where they fit.

Thanks for the info. I thought I may had seen here a long time back where someone got them other than the dealer for a lot less.

VC,

One of the good ole boys is sure to have a shop around there somewhere or at least know of a place where you can get some made. Sure would be cheaper. Use your connections. Work it. :D

PHX ATC,

I'll be seeing some of them next week - I'll be sure and ask um';)

It was good seeing you out there.

Right back at cha.

I'm already prepping for the next visit. I'm going to the track come hell or high water.

Let me know how it works out with your transmission lines. You're rich, take that auto out and plop a 6 speed in there!!:D

Check with DTT. I ordered the line from them that has provisions for the transmission gauge-sending unit. Later, I had them replace the other lines.

There are other options besides replacement, but it is worth you calling DTT to learn a little about the potential consequences.

There is a TSB for these CRITTERS!

Hello VC,

I saw before there was a factory recall out to get these lines replaced. I need to replace mine for good measures also. I don't remember the recall info, maybe another member might. The dealer told me it would be sent out to affected trucks. He told me this when they replaced my throttle cable for free last year on another factory recall. The free lines are the ones only with plastic release ears on them. Maybe it could save some bucks. Good luck, Herb W:rolleyes:
