the metal line that connects from the back of the engine coolant inlet to the back of the engine mounted transmission cooler rotted through and started leaking today, I tried Cummins because I had to go there anyways and they could not find anything, so I assume this is a factory installed item? does anyone know if I can still get it from a dealer, I fashioned a repair(read that "jury rigged") by rotating the rear 90 up and inserting a copper 1/2" id tube sweep 90 to it and ran 5/8" heater hose up the side of the block right on the cooler itself, this keeps it away from the exhaust, and should last a while, but I like to keep things original when I can... .

RGT,

I looked at mine this morning and they looked ok. You must get a lot more salt on the roads up there. I haven't had too much trouble getting parts from the dealer, but know it's only a matter of time before ours get phased out of the system.

Not sure how the 2nd Gens differ from ours, but imagine that they must be pretty close. Also might consider a commercial HVAC shop. Looks like something that could be fabbed pretty easily if you had the right setup.

Good luck!
