I *think* Derale has a version that is threaded so you can use real filltings. You would need a union in both lines, or flare fititngs, which would add to the cost so it has to be looked at in the over all scheme of what you are doing.
Pump pressure is not relevant as the cooler output is controlled by a shuttle valve. Max pressure I think is somewhere around 60 psi out of the trans. However, it may not be that high in the whole system due to the fact pressures is just a measurment of restriction. How much restriction is in the system is the question. I want to say probably 40-50 psi is all but have not had the chance to drop a gauge on it yet to measure.
Mine is seeping, it needs replaced. Time to look at cooler lines for problems also, already had to replace one. My plan is new lines out hydraulic hose and the flares needed to connect up to a new cooler sans thermostat,
