I agree, I'm sure money was "a" or "the" factor. However, IF there are(?) some quality issues, I HOPE that has to play as well. Dana axles are a popular and respected product. DC makes the specs, and various axle companies bid on the specs provided by DC. If the new axles don't hold up, and DC spec'd 'em and accepted the bid, well, then, DC screwed up. We shall see. I don’t know where the Dana axles are made, but I’d rather see the axle jobs stay in this country (if they are good axles) instead of moving to Mexico. A sold out Dana plant just closed an engine parts plant just south of where I live in Hastings Nebraska a couple of months ago and moved to Mexico. 150 lost their jobs. http://www.theindependent.com/stories/101902/new_closing19.shtml
