Chevron states that it is a synthetic (based) or properties(?) ATF, however so does Castroil Syn-tech (spell check please. . ) This is just a ultra refined mineral oil that claims to be so. As I read in many of articles Amsoil was the first on the market with a true Type IV synthetic ATF. I am not a dealer nor will I ever be a dealer for amsoil or any other tier sales group. Yes, I do agree with you that opinions and true truck junkies do lay claims to knowing more then what is researched by manufacturers and engineers to be true. However ALL of us here are left with what is available to us by faith, warranties and pure luck. Meaning there is no product that is better then the other unless tested in real world scenarios such as me, I do not have good luck with Dodge and there transmissions. Been through to many trannies and now want something to believe in other then their ATF+4 oil. So, that leave very few out there that are willing to stand behind their ATF oil other then Amsoil.
