Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) transmission fluid change ?'s

I'm getting ready to do the trucks 2nd transmission and transfer case fluid change, at 40,000 miles. But this is the first time that I will be doing it myself. And I have a few questions.



What size Torx is needed for the transmission filter screws ?



What size Allen wrench are the transfer case plugs ?



And also if anyone can give a tip on the easiest way to fill the transfer case, that would be great also! Doesn't seem like it will be very easy to use a funnel up in there.

P. S. I have in my notes that the band adjustment screws are a Torx 40, does that sound right ?

I will be doing my trans and transfer case also.

I want to use a top shelf synthetic, and upgrade to a mag-hyteck pan or ??? deep hi-perf pan.



Anyone have experience with RTF from TCI in the trans or T-case?

Anyone use other than, mag-hytek?

I didn't want to take a trip to the hardware store during the middle of the job. I've experienced that enough times already.

Mine is different year... Drain/fill plugs on transfer case are 10MM allen socket.



As for filling, I use Jay's EZ funnel for filling the TC and diffs. Available from Genos. Cheap and definitely makes the job easier.
