Transmission fluid change to amsoil and mag hytec pan?

Just a few easy questions for you all. Here is what I will be doing, I have a mag hytec pan, new filter, and amsoil synthetic fluid. I want to know the best and easiest way to remove as much of the stock transmission fluid as possible without doing a flush? Will mixing the left over transmission fluid in the transmission with the new synthetic cause a problem? Do I need to adjust the bands? Will raising the front of the truck or loosening my VB help drain more fluid? How much extra fluid does the pan require? I have plenty of new fluid so that is not a problem.

I do plan to let it drain over night. And I do realize this has been discussed before. Any comments and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It shouldn't hurt to mix Amsoil with the standard stuff - just a shame to not do the complete change... I always have the band adjustment done or at least checked on my 727 transmission, and yes, to get another 4 quarts or so of fluid outta the transmission, looses the valve body - or so I'm told...

Fred Swanson installed my Mag-Hytech double deep and when we were through it took 14 quarts to fill. He loosened the valve body and said that was good for about 4 quarts.

Before you drop the pan get a bucket, take the line off from the transmission. to the radiator at the front, start truck and put trans. in neutral this will pull oil from the TC. shut down as soon as the flow start to die down. This is the way the trans. guy did mine. And there was not too much left in the pan afterwards.
