Could someone tell me the amount of fluid I need to change the tranmission fluid in my truck (Aisin), I'm just doing a drain and refill.

thanks

According to my 2014 factory service manual, the AS69RC uses 7.2 quarts for a service fill and 13.74 quarts for a overhaul fill. Use MOPAR "ASRC" ATF.

I was just going to go to the dealer and get the mopar fluid, I bought a quart soon after I got the truck just in case I ever needed to add some. I can't remember the cost but I'm sure its not cheap. Where could I get the mobil fluid?

Why would anyone change "PART" of their fluid???????? Would you change part go your engine oil? I just don't get it. I have always done a complete fluid exchange or complete drain if the converter is tapped.

Because it really isn't necessary nor does Chrysler require it. Transmission fluid doesn't break down and get contamination the same way engine oil does.

I've had several Dodge trucks over the years getting a few hundred thousand miles on each and I've never had trans fluid related issues in that time. I've never done a complete fluid drain and refill.

I would assume based on the partial change is why they only allow 30K with the Aisin. I would bet a 60K or more change would be fine if a full change was done. At the price of the fluid I will be doing a full change and doing a Blackstone analysis at 30K.
