transmission gauage install

Greetings one and all,



Well its time for me to install the trany temp sensor. Looking at the rear of the trany I see two lines coming out or into the trany, one in front of the other, can someone tell me which of these two lines I would use?

The front line is the one you want to tap into. Be careful if you use the factory sending unit location - if you unscrew the factory sending unit and 'T' it with a brass fitting, be sure to hold the bung welded to the transmission line with a pipe wrench or pair of channel-lok pliers, as the torque on the sending unit may break the weld on the bung.
