Transmission going south??

Hi all,

I was on my way hope from northern Michigan when about 15 miles I came to a stop light and when I took off I could feel definate slipage in 1st gear,the reast of the gears was ok,everytime I stoped I had to feather the pedal carefully to get it to go,I had my travel trailer in tow,about 8000 LBS give or take a few,I made it hope the 150 miles and there is no sign of a problem running just the truck with no load.

The truck has 13000 miles on it,fluid looks good,any ideas would be helpful. .

Truck is bone stock. .

Might be starting off in 2nd gear. Try manualy pulling it into first and see how it starts off. Been some threads about valve body/solonoid problems and starting off in 2nd and not low/first.
