transmission Grind

Just recently I have noticed that my 5th gear grinds when I put it in gear. This has just started, I have almost 50,000 miles on this truck, and I didnt think with this transmission (nv5600) something like this would happen already. Wondering if anyone can HELP! I hate it Did i possible chip a tooth??? By the way every other gear is fine.

It's pretty common for them to do this when the transmission is cold (I double clutch to prevent grind), does yours still grind when it warms up?

Most likely a bad synchronizer.

Yes it still does grind when it is warm. But not every time. not every time it is cold either. Sometimes I just shift real slow so it dosent grind. It has never poped out of gear and it always goes in, just grinds sometimes.
