Just curious if anyone has a pronounced growl from their 6spd at low speeds on light acceleration and deceleration. I'm about to change to Redline MT90 in the transmission and am hoping this clears it up. Or is their a possibility this could be clutch chatter? TIA
I sent an email to Red Line and they recommended MTL for our transmissions. As for your question, only if it's 3rd and i'm accelerating from an idle or close to idle and it's cold.
All three of my six speeds growled at low speeds. I think it is normal. Yours will growl even after changing to MTL. At least mine did. A friend of mine who is a heavy equipment mechanic smiled the first time he heard it. He said that's the way it should sound. Don't worry about it. At least the NV5600 is quiet at speed (and very strong).
