Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) transmission help

just found out that my transmission is shot so it is time to get a new one. so the one thing that i do know is that i'm going change from a 5 to a 6 speed. But I was wanting to know what would be all involved. If the clutch I have will work or if I have to get a new one and any other stuff that will be needed.
