Has anyone ever had their transmission hoses leak up at the junction up by where the hard lines transition to the flex lines? I noticed that I had some ATF on the ground up just behind the radiator near the PS box. Stuck my hand in there and the PS box is not leacking but the transmission hose. . one of the two is right there at the hose joint. It seems only to do it in park while the engine runs. I guess my question is: Can you replace the O rings for the connections there or do I need to buy a whole new hose? I just don't want it to give way when I am bringing the TH back to the house in a few weeks.

Thanks!

It's been a problem in some 3rd gens. My hose was replaced under warranty. It was the "new improved" version that leaked on mine. Even if your warranty has expired, I'd call your local dealer and see if they'll cover it. Even if they don't cover it, they may give you some advise on a repair.

The quick connect fitting on there will not stand up to sustained vibration. Cut the end of the cooler tube off and put a GOOD compression fitting on and then have a hydraulic hose made to replace the entire steel line. An even better fix would be to find an aluminum fitting with NPT on it and have it welded to the cooler tube.

Godspeed,
Trent
