Transmission issue, No Park, 2 gear out

I believe I had this happen before, No Park Mode, shifter has to be encouraged to park to get the key out. 2nd gear is nowhere to be found. I drove it home, run up the rpms some, back off the throttle and it jumps from 1st to third, everything else work fine including reverse, fluid is fine.
Last time this happen, something to do with the mechanical shift linkage inside the transmission above the valve body.
Any ideas?

Drop the pan and see what's in it. Thinking band broke and/or arm fell off.

The band broke this time which means a rebuild AGAIN! Saw the internals both bands are junk, minor clutch wear, several parts missing like the spring behind the overdrive unit snap ring. Talked to the first shop, they dont replace bands unless they are wore out, the first trans was beat to death with 270000 miles on it, thay also did not put in the converter I paid for, a tripple lock. owner excuse is he didnt own the shop then and its was the previous owner mess. FYI the previous owner was his dad! They taked big about being family owned. Im really pissed

I don't know what you paid for your trans to get done before, I paid 4500 back in 03 for my DTT no billet shafts, 124k on it since. At around 129 on original there was way too much material in the pan and it slipped a little on 1-2 shift. Once I had it done then I began bombing.

I also spent $4500 with supposed upgrades, it did have a tripple lock converter and missing hafl the shift kit, new one was $5600 complete

Sorry haven't been around much, looking for new home, selling present, you know life in general. So where'd you have trans done, which type you go with, ATS, Gorend? Do tell. Good luck I'm hope whichever type you went with and outfit doing the work, at $5600, that it outlasts everything else.
