Transmission issue

I have a friend with a 93 W350 with the getrag 5 speed transmission, she's currently stuck in a parking lot in El Paso Tx. and says the transmission is stuck in neutral and won't go into any gear at all. Any thoughts?

4x4 in neutral?

I don't think so, she says the transmission shift won't go into any of the gear slots

Ok I had her do some test and figured out that some how the transmission is still in 1st but the shifter has jumped out of the shift rails in the transmission. So she can't change gears, so the next question is, is there any one around that area that could fix that, or at least put it back in place to nurse it to a good shop?

I talked her though fixing it, all good for now
