Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transmission issues

My transmission has been devloping problems, and after letting the truck sit for a week it has gotten much worse. The truck shifts between drive and overdrive from 45 to 60. It will keep shifting back and forth about once a minute if not sooner. When in dirve the torque converter will stay locked up for about 30 seconds at a time. I have recently replaced the TPS. Any ideas? It is an ATS transmission and TC with the commander, however the comander has never worked.

Come on guys this guy needs help not criticism call ats tell them whats going on they will help you troubleshoot problem whether they will warranty or not I don't know but you gotta start somewhere. Alot of transmission shops will diagnose trans problems without a fee but make sure you find a reputable shop ask some friends do some networking thats my advice to you. With auto transmissions if it's not the obvious its hard to diagnose without proper equip.

For sure start with ATS. They know their trans better than anyone. I would stay away from any small shops. Even if they they try to help they won't know the mods in the trans.

Did you adjust the tps when you installed it?

I did not know that there was any adjustment for the tps.
