Hey guys. Was under my 93 today changing the oil and saw the transmission was leaking oil from the top cover I think. Then looking down I found the right transmission isulator to be cracked and hanging out, needs replacement. The other side the nut on the bolt was very loose almost ready to fall out!!
My question is has any of you found any aftermarket transmission isulators, or do I just go back to my friendly nieghbor hood Dodge dealer?? I am planning to soon replace the engine mounts while doing the transmission mounts. I found those at O'rielly's for $25 each.
I also drained the transmission oil and found it to be in very good shape. Yes it is slobbering some oil, the level was a little low, but I really don't want to pull the transmission and transfer case to reseal the top cover. I pulled the side cover and found good clean bottom, not even dirt or particles on the bottom of the case, so I really have no reason to pull it out.
Any help out there?
Michael
