Transmission not shifting correctly and other problems. Bad TIPM?

Few weeks ago I was driving and TIPM reset. No noticeable changes in truck. Next day, I noticed driving lights were on (Light switch off and lights on). I turned lights on, then lights off, and driving lights went off and haven't returned. Now all my accessories are off, (I have all of them (gauges, air compressor, etc) running off of batteries thru Painless Fused Relays. They are trigger on by ACC fused circuit on TIPM. Been that way for >8 years.) and the transmission won't shift properly. It shifts 1, 2 for just a second then immediately to third. That's it. No OD, no TC lock and will not down shift except back to first at 10mph. Not limp mode. I figure TIPM is gone. Easy enough to replace, but I didn't want to put in another one if it was killed secondarily by another problem. What should I check before buy another TIPM? I already "reset" TIPM by unhooking batteries for 20 minutes and no change. I haven't been to dealer to run TIPM codes.

I'm not sure on your specific issues. But if it turns out to be a TIPM, I have been looking for one for my '07 for several weeks. Out of stock until at least April 27th from every source I can find. I hope you have better luck finding one than I have.

Without looking up the wiring I believe there is only the transmission relay that is in the TIPM. If the relay has power the TIPM should be good.

I hate to hear that about availability. I printed the procedure to test relay. I'll give it a test when I get time and report back.

hate to drag up and old thread, but I'm have TIPM light related issues as well. no instrument lights, dome lights, or cargo lights, and also an OD/Lockup code and wondering if it is related to TIPM as well.
Been looking for a TIPM for 2 months, with everything on national backorder with no expected ship date available.
