Will 235/85 fit on 2001 forged wheels 16x8?

I'm getting ready to replace my stock transmission pan with one of the Mag-Hytec units. I figure I needed about 8 quarts of oil to do the job, so I went to the local Dodge dealer and bought it... ... at $10 per quart !!! Holy ripoff Batman... .

Wondering what other oils are available and sources for it, I'm sure there's better stuff available...

Mag-Hytec offers a transmission oil from an outfit called "Lubrication Engineering" or something similar to that, said it's superior to the Mopar stuff and far less expensive... anybody got any information to help out ?

Personally I have used Valvoline and Castrol ATF +3, and at $25 per case of 12 quarts it is a lot cheaper than the mopar stuff. You can get the ATF at Walmart and auto parts stores for about the same price. HTH.

Redline Synthetic

I just changed my transmission fluid for the first time at 28k miles on my 2001. I switched to Redline Synthetic ATF+4. I have used RedLine in the past and have always been happy with the results. Lower friction and temps seem to make sence. Also, my transmission doesn't seem to hang up between 2nd and 3rd like it did before. I am waiting for a reply re: Redline Diesel oil for the Cummins engine.

Not cheap but worth it. Anyone else try/use Redline Synthetics?

LOL @ Batman :)

Other than the Mopar stuff, the only other +4 I have seen available is the Amsoil. I didn't know that Redline made one.

I wonder whats better :D Just kidding, I don't want to start an oil war.

My web site

I have used synthetic oils in my vehicles for over 20 yrears. Had a Peugeot last 269000 miles before a critical bolt broke and a Honda go 289,000 miles before it became impossible to smog. After unsuccessfully trying to buy synthetic gear oil locally I joined Amsoil and now have what I need shipped directly to my house with delivery within 2 days of ordering.

Check out my web site.

ROdiorne,

If you get the Double Deep pan, better plan on about three gallons. Mine took two gallons, three and one half quarts to top it off full when warmed up. MOPAR ATF+4 @ $33. 00/gallon.

Have fun! BF
