Oo. I had a problem several months ago with my 2000 Dodge Diesel at around 35 and 49 mph with a slight change in rpm. If I stayed at 49 mph the transmission would shift up and down it seemed. I disconnected both negataive battery terminals for one hour and then turned the key on and slowly depressed and released the throttle pedal; then turned the key off. After than everything was fine.
The other day I cleaned the K&N air filter and reoiled it per the instructions and then I started to have the same oscillation again at the same speeds.
My question; is there any censor after air intake that could be affected by any excess oil from the K and N filter ?
I sprayed the K & N filter very lightly with the oil they provided and I would not think it would be a problem, but it never hurts to ask. I know there are some that say one should not even use a K&N filter.
7/28 I went back and did the battery cable disconnect again and let the track sit for one hour, then connected the cables up again and slowly depressed the throttle in and out and went for a ride and rpm stayed steady as can be.
