Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) transmission pan install Q's?

Duh... . I was trying to put this in the Gen III section and somehow screwed it up. Well... doesn't matter, you guys should be able to answer this...

I'm installing a Mag Hytec pan and was wondering if it's worth checking the bands since the pan will be down.


Secondly, who makes a good over-the-counter Synthetic ATF? (I hate ordering fluids) Does Mobil 1 synthetic meet ATF +4 spec?

Amsoil Synthetic Universal ATF fills the ATF+4 requirement, and it is "good stuff".

You can order it online and it will be delivered to your door, or check the yeller pages under Lubricants to find a dealer near you.



It is probably worth the piece-of-mind to check the bands, even though they probably don't need any adjustment.
