transmission Pan install Q's

I'm installing a Mag Hytec pan and was wondering if it's worth checking the bands since the pan will be down. Truck has 5k miles.

Secondly, who makes a good over-the-counter Synthetic ATF? (I hate ordering fluids) Does Mobil 1 synthetic meet ATF +4 spec?<!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Nothing "meets the ATF+4 spec" except Mopar ATF+4.

There are some products that say "Recommended" for that application.

You will get a lot of differing opinions on the interpretation of the language on this subject.

With only 5k on it the bands should't be an issue.

Checking and adjusting the bands is free and good PM, especialy on a new band.
