transmission pans / differantial covers

looking for input on aftermarket trans. pans and diff. covers. any one have ant suggestions ? do they really help keep temps down ? are they woth the investment ? preferred manufacturers ?

More fluid capacity alone will help with temparure add in the added surface area od the cooling fins even better. An added benifit is the drain and fill plugs that make servicing so much easier and I say they are a good investment. I have a PML on my rear diff and love it.

Absolutly awsome for practical jokes and watching friends, family and co-workers throw whatever they are holding at the time.

They also help the confused deer or critter decide to move in a hurry when they are on the road, the main reason I got them.

Just put Mag-Hytec rear diff and transmission pans/covers on my 2007. 5 Dodge. Added cap, great quality, and ease of maintenance. Not sure that you will see much decrease in temp but they are quality, add fluid, and look great.

That is the brand I'm thinking of using , please keep me informed of temp differance . Like the looks , but am looking for temp decrease more than looks . A lot of money if no decrease in temps . Thanks for your responce

Honk the horn and then look around like everyone else is like where did that come from :-laf The guys next to you know but cant say anything because their ears are ringing so bad. ANOTHER REASON FOR THE AIR COMPRESSOR AND AIR TANK ON BOARD I dont know about you but I DONT MIND REMINDING SOMEONE ON THE CELL PHONE THE LIGHT HAS CHANGED!!!!

They do decrease temps. The oems are using them to make marginal diffs work where they may not with out the fins

The Mag Hytec rear diff almost doubles fluid capacity, so that alone makes it worth it to me with a combined 28K load.

I am running AMZ/OIL trans fluid and the Mag Hytec trans pan, my temps stay low. I am sure they both helped.

Towing outside temp 90 with 6% grades the trans temp is around 170 and 160 at 80 outside.
