need to find a three prong plug for a 47rh transmission with lockup converter, dodge has been no help, my truck has 2 prong, thanks for your help, keep smoking

I don't know of any aftermarket sourse other than a junkyard.

I'll need the same plug myself pretty soon. I'll check my dealer tomorrow and see what they can do for a number.

The plug is in an auxillary manual that has about every plug you have ever seen on these trucks in it. Unless the parts person is in the know, you will have to tell him where to look. Somewhere I have the DC P/N but on the road and can't look for it.

Give us the number.

I went to the dealer yesterday. We found the plugs in the parts listing. But I didn't know the color the 47Rh used. They showed three different colors for the 3 way plugs, white, black. blue. Each had a different locking tab setup.

Philip, Hope this helps. I know the white plug is one way to identify the 47RH as opposed to the 96'-up RE that is black.

IIRC, black is the correct color. You shouldbe ableto match the lock mechanism side and a tab on the plug to the female connector.

RH and RE plugs are totally different.

NAPA found one for me. The partsman thought it looked like the plugs used back in the 70's, and found one that works. Sorry, don't know the #.
