Archived transmission problem?

Today while towing the boat to launch it, the truck stopped rolling. The engine was running fine. It made a nasty sound when I put it in gear then when I got out on the road it just stopped. Had it towed to the dealership and we see what they say. I have a GearVendors over/under drive on it. Any suggestions??

Sounds like clutch or trans. Did it roll OK, just no power transfer? Did it make noise after it quite moving? Did having the clutch in or our matter?

A broken flex plate can also put an auto transmission out of business.

As can a broken input shaft. Does the "AT" in your truck sig mean you have an automatic?
