Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Transmission problem

On my 2000 2500 4x4 automatic with 120,000 miles the trans has started to act differently. It starts out in the cold very slowly and also when its warm. Like it's in second gear and it also hesitates or feel like it's bucking. If a put the shifter in first it moves fine. I read this could be the governor pressure sensor. Does anybody have any advise where to start. And a part number.

if you can manually select first and it take soff fine it doesnt sound like youve melted your forwards together, this bucking, is it like jumping , the rpms of the truck will jump too? if it is your missing washers, i believe its a thrust washer. (not onehundred percent sure) i ve had these similar symptoms the bucking and slow take off and i lost a thrust washer and it granaded the entire transmission. i hope its not this serious but good luck
