My Rpm's jump up and down about 200-300 RPM when moving about 35-40 MPH. Just had the transmission power flushed and filter changed at the dealer. Any help would be nice

Sounds like your TC locking and unlocking, does it feel like it is going in and out of gear? There are a bunch of threads regarding this problem, I remember reading a thread about removing a particular wire from the wire harness to isolate it from "noise". Also try cleaning your battery terminals, have heard this will clear up the noise. I cannot for the life of me think what the thread is that talks about this, maybe a search is in order.

I think I fried my brain today at work.

2 things come to mind , the first is that you need some adjustment , I think your TC should come in at about 45-50 , but thats why its ajustable to fit your driving habbits. next is I've seen this symtom at the correct speed that was caused by the brake sw. on the peddle , on eveything els I've worked on the sw. was adjustable , this was not so I hot glude a small washer on the foot of the sw. , if this is your problum than you would notice that the cruse would shutoff also.

I SEE IN YOUR PROFILE IT HAS 100K+ COULD BE TC :{ , ARE YOU GETTING ANY SHUDDER? MINE WENT OUT AT 98K NOW ITS A DTT :-laf

Just verified the level of the transmission fluid and I also used my cruise control today. No problem with the cruise. But the transmission still did it again even with the cruise set at 37mph. As for the shudder. This truck has always had a shudder of sorts. Sometimes it will shift very hard if I'm moving slowly and it shifts into 2nd. But I haven't felt that in a while. Talked with ATS last night and it looks like I will be getting and new transmission and TC. Oh yea, I also removed all grounds frim the truck and cleaned them and the battries terminials. Still No Joy :( ... Will still try any other ideas. Thanks for the help :--)

Here try this:

1) Disconnect the negitive battery terminals off both batteries.

2) Leave it sit like that either a few hours or overnight.

3) When you come back reconnect the teminals to both batteries.

4) climb in cab.

5) Put key in and click it forward 1 click! don't turn it to activate starter- just forward one click.

6) take foot and S L O W L Y apply pressure to throttle pedal til it's floored.

7) Lift foot S L O W L Y back to no pressure.

8) Repeat 6 and 7 another 2 times same way slow down-slow up .

9) Start truck and take her for a spin and see what ya got... ..... :D

thanks for all the help :) Reset the thing and removed all the ground cables from the truck. Took out the grinder and cleaned the paint away from the ground locations. Reinstalled the grounds and after about 2 hours of goofing off I connected the batteries and SLOOOOWLY pressed the pedal and released it a few times. Took her out, and she is shifting like she was the day I bought her! Thanks again for all the help Oo.

Those dang grounds!! I too had a MESS of problems. Mine with headlights failing, etc. All because those grounds that looked clean weren't. Mine shifts like crap too. I'm going to go reset and clean the grounds again.
