My truck has 67,000 miles and is a 2003 2500 HO with a 48re and no power adders. The problem occurs when I am accelerating and give the truck more than 50% throttle. The rpms rise but something in the transmission seems to be slipping. It is especially bad if I try to accelerate and the transmission downshifts. It just doesn't seem to accelerate as fast as it should. The truck actually accelerates faster with less than 50% throttle than floored. No codes and mileage is great so I don't think it is a problem with the motor. Is this a torque converter problem or are some of the frictions in the transmission worn out? Thanks for the help.
