Transmission Problem

Have a 2007. 5 with the 68rfe. Truck is in shop for transmission repairs. When starting from a stop trans would be locked in 4th. Shut down restart and would be fine. Last time threw a P0700 code (transmission). Dealer said electronics were fine. They are going through the transmission. Any ideas?

Trans is in limp in, but it should have thrown a code (the P700 is just a companion module code). Not sure why they are going in, they probably will not find anything. They will however find something wrong to justify the overhaul. I might be wrong, but the 68 RFE has been very trouble free so far.

I am on my third day of driving with my new suncoast mega 3 rebuild kit and triple disk torque convertor. New tcm and so far it seems alot better than the factory transmission. Yes it did cost more. As much hp as I am trying run I needed it.

Why would it be going into limp mode? This was the first time I ever got a MIL.
