I just got from my first long trip with my new truck. I have a 2001 2500 cummins w/auto. I was towing a travel trailer that weighes about 4000lbs. I noticed that I would be going along with the over drive locked out with the cruise control on. I would be on level ground and it would drop out of cruise. I'd hit resume and it would no problem. Also I noticed that with overdrive locked out when I hit approx. 65 it would lock and unlock the torque convertor. It Would do this back and forth even if I increases the speed. The convertor would lock and unlock. On level ground with it in overdrive it would shift normally. I took it to Dodge and they got it to duplicate all the problems but it didn't put out any codes. The dealer replaced the TPS switch and it is better but it still acts up sometimes.
