Had ther transmission rebuilt recently, now about 3,000 miles and started to slip.

fluid a little low added some , no difference. does not slip in reverse but in

1st, 2nd and dr slips, can maintain about 30 m p h. throttle up and slips. will contact rebuilder Monday and see what happens. any thoughts ? Stormy

You may be right about the T C . I chose to use the old one, a D T T with a

lotta miles. assured it was ok. it seems to have no problem in reverse, only in drive with some shudder. stormy

This all doesn't seem to make much sense. You should not notice any difference between reverse and first (unless your trans allows the TC clutch to engage in 1st gear).

If you detect slippage/shuddering in any gear when the TC clutch is not engaged, then trans pressures are not high enough or the internals of the trans need to be adjusted. If you detect slippage/shuddering in any gear when the TC clutch is[/i] engaged, then trans pressures are not high enough or the TC clutch facing has worn out or gone missing.

My bet is on system pressure being too low.

Thanks for the replies. I drove the truck today and gentle throttle I can move forward, more throttle and it revs up with little increse in speed.

put in drive, foot on brake rev up with slight forward motion, when put in reverse and throttle up will spin wheels. tomorrow will find out the answer. Stormy
