I installed the Bully Dog Power Pin lastnight and I couldn't be happier with the power it gave me!!! "Now" until that tq converter locks up, I just kind of sit there and wait for it to grab. Once it does it will lay you back pretty good, but I don't want to wait... What mods do you have to make to make these transmission's go, is it all fluid flow, or is there a valve body? Sorry I feel stupid asking, but I want to be able to step on the go pedal and go, not kind of go and then all the sudden bam here we go... Thanks...

If your talking bout the 92 in your sig. Unless someone has changed the trany it does not have a lockup converter. It has a 518 trans these are nonlockup. Loose converters are a problem in our year trucks. Most of the top trans builders have better converters for these trans.

Loose converters are a problem in ALL these turcks, irregardless of year. The only solution is an aftermarket TC that has better TQ multiplication. :)

... a nv 4500?

lol

i thought chrysler was nutz when these things first came out cuz they offered the auto as a option

trans technology sure has progressed in the last 20 years, huh?

especially this decade

remember the clutch flite?

when is someone gonna do that with a allison?

I bought a TCI torque converter last winter, better than the OEM but I regret not spending a little more. I think $500 would get you a decent converter for a non lockup unit.

My expectations were high so I could be wrong too, it would maybe change my opinion if I drove another 1st Gen auto. It certainly doesn't hesitate to hook up, this thing wants to push you thru stoplights etc. I throw it in nuetral...

Thanks for all ya'lls input... The next thing is some coolertubz, Pinnacle Power exhaust and DDP B series 80 HP injector's!!! and then probably the ATS unit, I called today and got prices and they have the best price... I can't get a hold of anyone at DTT... Keep your input coming!

Mine does this too, but I thought it was from weak brakes:confused:. My fresh rebuild 518 held pretty good until I installed the s66 charger:mad:. I am in the same boat as you now. Only thing is, does anyone build a convertor for our trannies that will hold 450rwhp?

CHolman- the sluggishness you feel til it kicks you in the pants is probably waiting for OD. Your TPS could need some adjusting. You can also check your Throttle Valve Cable adjustment and take the slack out of it. (rebuilder left at least 3/4" slack in Mom's  ).

I agree with everyone else here, stock torque convertors suck in these trucks. It is why I wont own another auto without budgeting for a built transmission.
