OK, got the new transmission in... backed of the rack, rev worked great. Put in drive, went 5 feet and no power. Turn off truck, back in drive 5 feet and the same. Sensor maybe ??? any help would be great... were ya at Harvey... .

Did it throw any codes? There might be a code that would help diagnose the problem, and it won't necessarily light the "check engine" light (MIL). Check with a code reader or use the key on-off 3x trick.

Harvey is cycling in the Ozarks. Proceed with caution!

You definitely need a code reader. sounds like its going straight into limp mode. I`d check all connections into transmission to be sure everything is 100% seated. I`m gonna guess you had the batteries discon'd while you did the R+R? if not, that mite help. . check for a pinched wire also, could be grounding out a sensor lead.

good luck

Can't seem to get a code to pop up, hooked up to 3 different scanners and couldn't link up for some reason. Truck reverses fine put in drive and give it alittle juice, then truck shifts straight to neutral. Un-plug the sensors and truck drives with no kick-off in neutral. 2010 will be in the driveway soon.....

Darren,

Sorry, I was away from home but I don't have anything to offer anyway.

Are you saying after driving forward about five feet the engine revved but the torque converter slipped and wouldn't move the truck?

You've probably got it fixed and are on the road again by now but I could only suggest talking to Mike Mullenax at the Dodge dealer in Athens, TX or with James Northrum, transmission builder in Midlothian.

Looks like the silver bullet is rolling again. It's "my" understanding that when a major component is replaced, then the truck needs to be re-flashed. My partner is picking the truck up today,so here's hopeing all is alright. I'm still on the search for that 2010...
