O. K. I just finished towing with my banks kitted 2001 auto, and have to say WOW!! what a difference. I know alot of you don't like banks and I'm a little disapionted with it's standing start performance, but on the highway in OD with the convertor locked it was impressive. On my trip to atlanta it never once came out of OD where before on the slightest hill it would lose 5 MPH then shift to third. I'm working on a getting a valve body and convertor but I still need to tow the next two weekends. I was wondering if there was a way to increase line pressure externaly on the transmission (like the TV cable on chevy 700 4r's). Harder shifts part throttle wouldn't bother me if I knew it help my trans. for the next few weeks till the upgrades get done.

Charles, I hope you are considering DTT's VB and TC, it will fix the low end performance. I also added 275's and got a nice improvement in power. E mail me if you need any specifics.

CW , adjusting the TV cable will mess up your shift points , unless there is a problem with your shift points DO NOT adjust the TV cable ... TV cable movement does increase line pressure as you depreess the throttle . only PROPER way to increase the line pressure is to make changes to the VB , you have gotten and i'm sure read who to call .
 
Yes, the DTT VB and TC are in the works, I was just looking for a patch job for a few weeks so I could get by till everything gets here. I realy think I need some more line pressure in OD to help that convertor clutch.

there is no patch job , either it works or it don't , i'm elbow deep in the trans , the design is not the problem , its our BOMBs .


drive sensibly , that will get you by the next few weeks . how heavy is your trailer ?
