Hi all, my frend is wanting to buy a new 03 2500 but does not like the 47RE trany. His brother is telling him that in a few months they will have the 5 speed in the CTD. From what I know that is not going to happen. The 5 speed only comes in the 1500 gas rig. Pleas help end this argument.

The new auto is already out. It is the 48RE and is a 4 speed. There is no 5 speed auto for CTD.

I kneew the 48RE was out and only avalble on the HO CTD. My frind and I live in CA and the HO CTD is not easy to find.

I think you can get the 48re behind the standard output also.
