hello everyone, 1998 ram, auto, when the truck hits about 45-50 mph, and it hits the highest gear, my truck keeps trying to shift back down into the previous gear. This is really annoying. And it started doing this every once and a while, now it does it almost every time i drive the truck. But it doesnt do this if i just floor the truck real fast, for some reason. Anyone have any answer for me? Thanks.

Is it just jumping out of lockup for a split second? Do bumps in the road or temp make it more-less frequent? Is it the same noise as when you tap the brake while driving down the road in lockup with your foot steady on the gas? There is a switch that takes the convertor out of lockup when you put the binders on, sounds like yours could be taking a hit. My last 2 Dodges (last one gasser) have had this problem.
