Attention: TDR Forum Junkies About a month ago my truck would not shift out of 1st gear. I took it to the Dodge dealer and they said that the kick down spring which I had reinstalled on my Banks Smart Lock was not alowing the kick down to return fulling, therefore keeping the pressure up and not allowing the transmission to shift.
They said they shortened the spring and it was now shifting properly.
When I am towing the transmission seems to hold 1st gear way to long and I need to manually shift it with the throttle pedal.
Not sure what to do. Been thinking about getting another kickdown spring and cutting less off, thinking he may have cut off to much and the spring is to taught. Do I seem to be on the right track?
I guess I am lucky that they even took the time to look at all being I have aftermarket mods!
I know that I really need to upgrade the transmission, just don't have the cash for that right now.
Any suggestions, certainly be appreciated.
