Just had my transmission rebuilt and lost reverse gear. Forward gears are fine. Made it from the North end of Georgia to Orlando and they're still holding up. I can't take it back to the same mechanic right now because he's about 1500 miles away.

Looking for a transmission shop in the Kissimmee area. zip 34747. Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are my next door neighbours, but I don't think they can help me out. Hopefully, the jam/lock nut backed off or the band needs tightening.

I'd appreciate hearing from someone who's had a good experience or can recommend a good transmission shop.

I'm heading out to drive around in circles and I'll check back later.

Thanks

A friend of mine from some other car forum uses these fellas.

I'll try them, unless some one else has a better recommendation.

My only other choice is the closest Aamco transmission shop. But I've heard mixed reviews about them. Some not so good.

Thanks for listening.

CRM aren't that familiar with 47 re's.
They recommended Aamco in Apopka. We'll see what happens.

Finally found a very good transmission shop by accident, and finally caught a break. The jam/lock nut backed off. The original mechanic called the shop and paid the bill.

Problem solved.

Moderators you can go ahead and close this thtread.
