can any one in the northeast ( I'm in western pa) recommend a transmission shop. I'm starting to look for a transmission up grade, maybe around the 1st of the year. converter, valve body, etc. i want it done right the first time. Ive heard too many horror stories. thanks, matt:confused:

I like and have option 2. :)

I also believe Andy at Option 1 went to Scott at option 2 and had his transmission done thier. ;)

Exactly...

Scott did my own personal truck a few months ago.

We send all of our customers who are interested in Automatic Transmission upgrades to Scott...

You will not be disappointed with his work...

Hope this helps...

Looks like I'm a little late for the Massdiesel bandwagon... ... ... . :D You will not be dissapointed, it's worth the couple hour drive it will take.

I had a transmission done at level 10 in Hamburg, NJ about 5 years ago in my wifes 5. 0 T-bird.

He wasnt too expensive, and it worked good. She put about 50K miles on it, then sold the car. I never done a thing to it.

I also got it at dealer cost because I was referred by the guy that done my Grand National trans.

I dunno how much he knows about diesel transmissions though.

This is also probibally further than you want to go anyway.

Frantz..... (sp?) at Meserschmidt's..... (sp? again) in Lebanon, PA is a DTT installer. Super Dooper Celebrity "Jetpilot" had his transmission done there. I have talked to them myself also and will be headed that way soon.
