How can someone ask a question on here, and then it turns into a personal attack forum. . between several members..... anyone can be an " expert on here" or a tough guy behind the key board... . did some forget this is a place to help one another... . not attack and hold grudges on other members..... jeez... ... . :-{}

And just think..... we pay $35/year to watch this crap slinging. Makes you think long and hard about renewing.

Kind of looks like Barlow started the crap slinging as soon as someone did the unthinkable like HAVE A DIFFRENT VIEW!!!!!

And yes im looking at this because I have a 3rd gen that I pull heavy with at times

As long as someone acts like a troll they'll be treated as such. Kinda like the wanna-be bully in school that just needed his ars kicked.
Sheesh, I bet even dogs hate HB.

Your thinking about it the wrong way, in ADDITION to all the great information you get some great entertainment for that $35. :-laf Clowns are great, everybody loves clowns.

Its all done in jest and with much love, just think daisies and rainbows. ;) Until BIG trots out the girls, then it is just plain SCARY... ... ... ...

I try to avoid Hsmartash these days, he's just a ash, so I hate to respond, knowing the thread will be turned upside down. sag2, HB wore out his springs under continuously overloading the the rear axles by his own admission bragging about hauling construction trailer silo's, that still had product in them from time to time between heavy RV's deliveries. This kind of duty cycle will wear your suspension components and can be expected. The way I read that TSB, was describing a cure by repositioning the angle of the U-joints, not that the Gen III springs are weak. All makes of the 1ton regular trucks have sacrificed ride over ability, due to customers complaining about the ride. Imagine that, truck buyers complaining that the truck doesn't ride like a Cadillac. The Dodge 3500 C&C rear springs are considerably stronger than the regular 3500 pickups, by design, knowing that the duty cycle is more than the regular pickup. My 04. 5 has/had the axle wrap from time to time and a one piece drive shaft was discussed by my tech at one point. But it's frequency was minimal and many TDR members described the same issue, so I just ignored it, thinking its a design flaw by Dodge.
This had to be said, HB wears out his truck and then blames it on Dodges supposedly weak springs. If you read the first sentence, I was predicting his response and thats exactly what happened. I'm not scared to dispute his sometimes erroneous claims and this is one example. goodguys75, if your inferring the post quoted above, I was just setting the record strait, if HB doesn't like it he can always troll somewhere else.

You guy's have got it all wrong the problem is because of an OVERLOAD on the rear of the truck makes the rear squat down and it changes the angle of the drive shaft and you will begin to have shudder until the OVERLOAD is removed.

We need to make plans ahead for the GIRLS they are all gone except this by noon on Fridays

Good!! its a healthy thing to laugh, life is so short to be all wound up about things that one cant control. I look forward to the next day when I rest from this one and that is far enough for me to plan. Have some long time Pard's pulling in tonite with their rigs to spend a few days away from what brought us together, the road. Looking forward to blowing the foam off a few and getting to know their wives and offspring. Been kind of thinking about friends, I have known most of these people for at least 30 years and one from when I was in the 5th grade. Talk to them several times a month and see them as many times a year. Not many people can surround themselves with that kind of history in friendship. ;)

RJC,

I'm sure you have noticed, it's not just the TDR. The personality of whole United States has steadily "cheapened" since my childhood, especially in the last 5 years.

The Owners/Moderators have provided a "playground"(political forum). Members should make an effort to use their wit in it's confines, and keep the rest of the forums respectful.

Thanks for all the replies, ideas and entertainment. Big, those girls you send pictures of, do you keep those in your barn? I think I am going to stop right here... .

You don't own and never have owned a Gen III dually and clearly have nothing to offer to the discussion.

RS Curtis has hit the nail on the head. If you were to put a traction bar on the rear housing such that the springs could not wind up but were forced to hold true and pinion angle only changed because of weight , not torque, that would take care of the launch shudder.

Poser,

As usual you have no idea what you're blathering about. The cab and chassis suspension is very different than dually pickups.

I owned two before I bought the cab and chassis in part for that very reason. I got tired of the weak rear suspension in my '06 dually. My c&c doesn't sag under a heavy trailer and doesn't shudder on launch with a fifthwheel or gooseneck dump trailer loaded with gravel.
