Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Was having intermitent problem with first slipping sometimes. Also, D-P-R indicator was not cliking into D spot and not dead centre on column. Sometimes had to drop to 2nd to get full first engage.
Found a missing rubber gromet at the linkage at botton end of shift rod connection to swivel shaft. It wore right out and all that was left was a small piece of rubber on the outside end. Shift rod just a danglin and fell right out when I pulled it.
Now, it shifts like a new truck
