Truck 2007

Trans: Auto, 48RE, recently rebuilt when I lost 2nd gear band (3K on new rebuild)

Symptoms: Under acceleration or under load the transmission in overdrive acts like its missing or stumbles. Put the trans in Tow Haul, doesn't act as bad but still happens.

What am i looking for to get fixed?

Thanks in Advance

what else is needed... stick your foot in it and when it gets around 70 or showing greater than 56% load on it, it feels like its missing or studdering

it feels like its missing or studdering

Studdering is not a real word that any definition can be put to. It conveys no useful information.

Missing is way to generic to even guess what you mean. Does it mean the vehicle is jerking because the engine is cutting out, or, the engine sounds rough and like it is dropping cylinders, or, the engine sounds fine and and the trans feels like it is slipping?

There is a definite difference between the engine cutting out and the trans cutting out or slipping. How about recording the sounds or even a video of the dash when it happens?

Like Bob said, not enough valid info to even guess. Need some valid observations on engine rpms and any deviation, engine sound, vehicle sound and possible sources, throttle position, and any mods to the truck. :)

What kind of warranty do you have? Have you called your rebuilder?

So it only does this in OD? Does it feel like the converter is locking and unlocking?

I'm thinking you may have a noisy/failing TPS.

I know exactly what you mean! My truck started doing the same exact thing lately... Never happened before, but lately I've been running her a bit harder (Rolling onto the throttle) about 70-80% throttle recording boost pressures and ratios for turbo tuning. . It feels like fuel is cutting out for a split second, but the fuel pressure stays up @ 23K. .

To me, it's like the TC or trans is slipping ever so slightly, and yes it happens more out of OD. Still researching it, but thinking it's a drive train issue arising...

My Smarty TNT settings was SW8 when I noticed it and I progressively kept de-tuning and now at SW4, each setting no cutting out for awhile then it (the cutting out) would start showing itself again. .
