How do i get to the bolts that hold the torque converter to the flywheel? I have removed the dustcover at the bottom of the trans (No room for a wrench) and i don't believe there is enough room if i remove the starter(I haven't removed the starter, yet)
Right side (rider side) on the bell housing their is a sight Plate that is held in with two Bolts, remove the bolts and plate, Have a VERY VERY good swivel and 6 point stocket, I think its 13mm, for the TC bolts.
These photos were taken while my truck was on the lift. * The camera was positioned just under the turbo looking back at the bellhousing area. * There are two bolts holding a funny "S" shaped access hole cover. The bottom smaller hole is to insert a "barring" tool which engages the flywheel teeth and turns the flywheel so you can acces the next t/c bolt. I didn't have the tool and was careful using large screwdriver at the bottom of the bellhousing where there was a small cover to access the t/c drain bolt.
Sorry for the delayed response, but this was a big help. I have been running on the new trans for a week now and it is nice to have it shift when it suppose to. Again thanks for the quick response.
