2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission transmission temp gauge mount

I bought the Mopar transmission line that DTT recommends as a temp probe mounting location. Does anyone else have this one? There appears to be a "plug" threaded into the opening into the line. It is way bigger than my 1/8" NPT probe.



Anyone know what to do? Drill/tap? Is there a transition piece that can be ordered?

You can get a bushing to adapt the probe to your larger hole. Remove the plug and take the probe and plug to hardware store, Home Depo, Lowe's, etc. Find brass bushing that are the size you need. Buy a roll of teflon tape to seal threads. Wrap it CW on threads so it's drawn into the threads as you tighten.
