Another guage question.

I have done some looking and haven't found the answer I need. What wire do you tap into for the guage lights so that they work with the factory dash switch for on, off and dimming????

Thank you, Brad

For switched power I used the cigarette lighter closest to the HVAC controls for the lights I used the orange with a white tracer, use a probe as there are a couple and not all of them are the light circuit.

If you are looking for the wire that dims your das lights it is on the back of the headlight switch, there are 4 on top row and 2 on the bottom row, it is the one on the bottom row closest to the middle, verify with a voltage probe.

Thanks Guys!!! The only post I could find about the wiring took me to a link that I could not get to open. I am going to try to install my guage tomorrow. :D

Thanks, Brad

I just hooked mine up yesterday and here is how I did it. Remove the knee bolster, then remove the panel which holds the light switch. Grab it near the steering column and it will pull out. Then remove the wire harness from the light switch. Reach up from under the dash and bring the wire harness down where you can work with it. Remove enough of the rubber cover so you can T-Tap into the ORANGE WIRE WITH WHITE STRIPE. This will give you dash lights with dimmer.
