I would like to say I am happy be a member & this is my first post. I read some place that there is a test port on the transmission that can be used for a temp guage. What does it look like & where is it located? Thank you in advance I know you guys can help.

Since you have a '95, you should have one. It is in the line from the transmission outlet to the heat exchanger under the turbo. Some guys with trucks that were made after '95 or 96, as I will, have replaced that line with one from a '95 since they have the port. If for some reason you don't, here is the D/C #- 5011244AA. Costs somewhere around $100.

On your '95 the port on the line to the cooler that is used by folks with later model trucks is occupied by the OEM trans temp sender, leave it there or you won't be able to go into OD.

On the '94 & '95 RH trannies you can use the middle test port on the passenger side of the trans for your probe. You'll see it. Make sure it doesn't extend more than 1/4'' into the interior of the trans as it will interfere with moving parts. Reading is the same as the output line to the cooler.
