An easy question ,I think. What size is the temp sensor port on the hot line? 1/4NPT? I think I will need a flush bushing for the sensor on a gauge. It"s raining and flooding here so don,t want to crawl under right now. Anybody know how to build an Ark? I'll start gathering the critters!!

Carl, when I put my trans temp gauge in I went to the local Dodge dealer and ordered a cooler line for a '94 Dodge truck. That year has a extra port inline and I was able to just screw in the sender there. Hope this helps.

It's wet up here in the high desert too.

Carl's '95 already has the 3/8 NPT temp port. He will have to jump the stock sender wires with a 1k ohm resistor to trick the pcm into thinking the trans temp is in the operating range. Several transmission experts have assured me that running with the temp too low which would normally prevent OD lockup is of no concern.

Carl, hope you have a gauge that reads down to 100F or less otherwise you may not see it move during the cooler times of the year.

All ready have a fitting on the line Bart. Both 94 and 95 have that ported line. Thanks for the replies all, it finally stopped raining here so I might get something done now!!

You can also use a t fitting to keep the oem sensor.

Doesn't work, I tried it. Unless the sensors are in the fluid flow both read too low. I had to drive for about 15 minutes before the temp on the stock sensor allowed OD lockup, before when it was in the flow it took 3 minutes.

That's interesting... ..... it has worked for me in quite a few trucks. Maybe I am just blessed :D I think all us 5speeders are Oo.
