My transmission cooler line split again for the second time in two years. I had already purchased replacement lines, incase it ever happened again. Anyway, I removed the old lines and threw them away. Didn't get around to working on the truck for over a week. Now I can't remember which line had the temp probe in it. Was it the line with the short piece of rubber hose? Or the other one. Also, I have the Jarrety in-line temp probe, where is the best location for this? Never liked the original location.

The front port is the output to the trans. coolers. This is the line that should house your temp. sending units. If you place the sending units in the other line, you will only know how cool the coolers make the fluid. Not helpful information.
